I've taught thermo dozens of times out of four textbooks. Koretsky is the book that the students have appreciated the most and with enthusiasm. I read this before giving it to my daughter who lost a very close friend 4 years ago when she was 12 years old. She is still struggling with he grieving process and this book was recommended to me by someone at the Highmark Caring Place. There is little available to kids/teens who have lost a friend. This booklets them know that what they are feeling and going through is "normal". It was a very easy read. I would also recommend "The Grieving Teen: A Guide for Teenagers and Their Friends" by Helen Fitzgerald.

I purchased two copies of this book when my daughters' best friend passed away in an auto accident after leaving our home. I left the books out but did not try to force the books on the girls. Both copies disappeared the night I put them out and I later learned that the books were passed onto other teens close to the beautiful child lost in the tragic accident. We were all lost in very rough emotional seas when the accident occurred and this little book was very welcome bit of emotional flotation upon which to hold on.

With short, almost "Deep Thought"ish statements, the book is directed to teens to pass along the message that whatever works for you is OK. A struggling reader or non-reader would be able to manage the text. The book has typical statements and short descriptions and discussions of the statements. The book is written from the perspective of helping teens to direct their thoughts in the process of grief and loss.

The final installment of this Dramatized LOtR is mostly like the others. There’s just one problem: The last chapter is actually the first, and the first chapter starts in the middle, with Theoden’s body being returned to Rohan. It’s a little awkward.

I am listening to it now and I love it. Very good voices and a fine adaptation. (Please note that this is a dramatized version and not a reading of the actual text.)

Did not realise what dramatised version means ... bought all 3 books before starting 1st one and could not listen more than few minutes.

I picked up all 3 of these digital audio books (LOTR Trilogy) to listen to for a road trip. The first two are good (would recommend), sometimes too dramatic and somewhat cheesy but overall enjoyable.This, the final audio book, takes it up a notch. The voice acting often moved from immersive and engaging to irritating and excessive. There was also some new random fascination with singing throughout the book, all in an operatic, vibrato style... it was ...not good.I am a LOTR fan, I have enjoyed the books, films and other audio books. Unless you feel open to excessive (often high pitched) dramatic voice overs as well as uncomfortable vibrato songs, I would suggest skipping this audio book. My guess is most will find that it distracts more than it adds to the story.

This is more a review of Amazon and Audible rather than the production. They offer Fellowship and Return of the King but not The Two Towers, which is frankly ridiculous.
